We've been having record heat this week, so my clothing options are either a sundress or shorts and a tank top. It's just too darn hot to pile on too many clothes. The heat came with a vengeance earlier this week and I wasn't quite prepared. I had to do some digging through closets and drawers to find all of my packed away shorts and sandals. If Summer weather is here to stay, at least now I'm prepared.

Lady in Red

I'm feeling about as girly as a girl can feel. I think the combination of eyelet, the fit and flare shape, and the sweet shade of red make this dress ultra-feminine. The raw edge detail on the hem of the skirt and the sheer back give it a bit of an edge. My husband surprised me by setting up a mid-week date and I think this dress is perfect for the occasion.

The print of this dress is what immediately drew me to it. The print reminds me of a piece of artwork that I might find in a gallery, and I love that it looks urban, yet sweet all at the same time. The dress is from Muse Apparel, a shop that has recently become one of my favorites. Muse Apparel is an online clothing label that features on-trend styles that are beautiful, fashion-forward and unique. I love their flirty, feminine dresses like this lace dress and this scenic halter dress. Aren't they perfect for Summer?
